1. Our Commitment
AI Research Agent aims to be usable by as many people as possible, including those who rely on assistive technologies. We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level.
2. Conformance Status
This is a personal portfolio project. We describe its status honestly rather than claiming formal certification:
- Automated testing (Lighthouse) reports an accessibility score of 100/100.
- Text and interface color contrast meets or exceeds WCAG AA, and most combinations meet the stricter AAA ratio.
- Interactive controls are keyboard reachable, have visible focus indicators, and icon-only buttons carry accessible labels.
- A “skip to content” link is provided as the first focusable element on each page.
- Menus and dropdowns can be dismissed with the
Escape key, and focus returns to the control that opened them. - Assistant responses are announced to screen readers via a live region once each reply completes, and the chat status is announced while a reply is in progress.
- Animations respect the
prefers-reduced-motion setting. - A partial manual screen-reader pass (VoiceOver) has been performed covering keyboard navigation, controls, and response announcements. A full formal audit across all assistive technologies has not been completed, so we describe the project as substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA rather than formally certified.
3. Known Limitations
- The interface is dark-theme only; a light theme is not currently offered.
- Testing to date has focused on VoiceOver; other screen readers (NVDA, JAWS) have not been formally verified.
4. Feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please let us know so we can address it. Contact support@tabishbot.com with a description of the issue and the page where you found it. We aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe.
